How it is made
Four steps, one pair of hands
Nothing here is outsourced. The whole process happens on one bench in Rutherford, and every tube carries the batch it came from.
Step 01
Render
Suet from grass-fed cattle is rendered low and slow. Too hot and you get the kitchen smell people worry about.
Step 02
Filter
Filtered twice until it sets clean and white. This is the step that decides whether a tallow product smells like anything at all.
Step 03
Blend
Beeswax goes in at a fixed ratio and holds at pour temperature, checked with an instant-read thermometer rather than a guess.
Step 04
Pour and cap
Fifty tubes to a rack, poured, set, capped, labelled and dated by hand. Then it goes in a box with your name on it.

No. Properly rendered and double-filtered tallow is close to odorless and has no taste. If a tallow product smells like a kitchen, it was rendered too hot or not filtered enough.
How long does one tube last?
Daily use, roughly six to eight weeks. Most people find they use less of it after the first week, because it is not evaporating between applications.
Can kids use it?
Yes. Two ingredients, no fragrance, and no flavor to encourage licking. It also works on cuticles, knuckles, and the dry patch on the bridge of your nose in January.
