This Privacy Policy explains how Kowboj LLC ("Kowboj," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit shopkowboj.com, buy from us, sign up for email or text messages, or contact us. By using our site, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing address
  • Order details, including what you bought and any subscription preferences
  • Messages you send us, reviews and photos you submit, and your answers to sign-up forms

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, and pages you view
  • How you use the site, such as products viewed, items added to cart and checkout activity
  • Information from cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see section 4)

Payment information
Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card number.

2. How we use your information

  • To process and ship your orders, manage subscriptions and handle refunds
  • To send order confirmations, shipping updates and subscription reminders
  • To send marketing emails and texts, but only if you've signed up (see section 5)
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support
  • To show you relevant ads on platforms like Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site secure
  • To comply with the law

3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information for money. We share it only with companies that help us run the store:

  • Shopify: hosts our store, processes payments and manages customer accounts
  • Klaviyo: sends our marketing emails and text messages
  • Shopify Subscriptions: manages recurring orders
  • Judge.me: collects and displays product reviews
  • Printify: prints and ships merch orders
  • USPS and other carriers: deliver your packages
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok: measure and show our ads
  • Professional advisors and authorities: when required by law or to protect our rights

These companies may only use your information to provide their services to us or as their own privacy policies describe.

4. Cookies, pixels and advertising
We use cookies and tracking pixels, including the Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel, to understand site traffic, measure our ads and show you ads for Kowboj on other sites and apps. Under some state laws, this may count as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising.

You can opt out any time:

  • Use our Your Privacy Choices page: shopkowboj.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We treat it as an opt-out request for that browser.
  • Adjust your cookie settings in your browser, or your ad settings on Meta and TikTok

5. Email and text messages

  • Email: if you sign up, we'll send you marketing emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Text messages: if you opt in, we'll send you recurring automated marketing texts to the number you provide. Consent isn't a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. See our Mobile Terms for details.
  • We do not share or sell your mobile number or text message opt-in data with third parties for their marketing. Text messaging information is shared only with the providers who deliver our messages.

6. Reviews
If you leave a review, your first name, last initial, rating, review text and any photos may be shown publicly on our site and in our marketing. Ask us and we'll remove your review.

7. How long we keep your information
We keep your information as long as we need it to fulfill orders, run subscriptions, meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, New Jersey and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have about you and get a copy
  • Correct information that's wrong
  • Delete your information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising
  • Appeal our decision if we deny your request

To use any of these rights, email hello@shopkowboj.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. You can also have an authorized agent contact us for you. We won't treat you differently for using your rights. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our response. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.

9. Children
Our site isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us their information, email us and we'll delete it.

10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, and Shopify's secure checkout, to protect your information. No website is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. Links to other sites
Our site may link to other sites, such as Instagram or TikTok. We're not responsible for their privacy practices. Check their policies before sharing information with them.

12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Big changes will be posted here, and where the law requires it, we'll notify you.
