Why Tallow
Two ingredients. That's the whole label.
What is in the tube
Grass-fed beef tallow. Rendered from the suet of pasture-raised cattle, then filtered until it is clear and close to odorless. Its fatty acid profile is unusually similar to the oil your own skin produces, which is why it absorbs rather than sitting on the surface. It carries the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K along with it.
Pure beeswax. Structure and staying power. Beeswax is what lets the tube twist up clean instead of smearing, and it forms a breathable barrier that keeps the tallow where you put it through wind, cold and dry indoor heat.
The drugstore stick, read out loud
Turn a conventional balm around and read the back. Then read ours. That is the entire pitch.

Four steps, one pair of hands
Render. Suet from grass-fed cattle is rendered low and slow. Too hot and you get the kitchen smell people worry about.
Filter. Filtered twice until it sets clean and white. This is the step that decides whether a tallow product smells like anything at all.
Blend. Beeswax goes in at a fixed ratio and holds at pour temperature, checked with an instant-read thermometer rather than a guess.
Pour and cap. Fifty tubes to a rack, poured, set, capped, labelled and dated by hand. Then it goes in a box with your name on it.
What to expect
Day one. It feels heavier. Tallow goes on denser than a petroleum stick and then sinks in over a minute or two. No slick film left sitting on top, no tingle, no taste.
Day three. You reach for it less. The twenty-minute reapply habit is mostly a response to a balm that evaporates.
Week two. Your baseline moves. Lips are less tight first thing in the morning and hold up better through wind and dry heat.
